HIC SUNT LEONES
La Vetrina accueille le projet du photographe tessinois Gabriele Spalluto, qui a voyagé durant une année sur les frontières suisses. Les postes de douane, avec leur architecture souvent surprenante, apparaissent comme autant de décors de théâtre sans personnages. Hic Sunt Leones – c’est ainsi que les anciennes cartes de géographie signalaient les limites du territoire connu. Une exposition (et un livre) pour voyager aux portes de la Suisse.

La Vetrina is hosting a photographic project by Gabriele Spalluto from Ticino, who spent a year travelling along Switzerland’s borders. The customs posts, with their often striking architecture, appear like so many theatre sets without actors. “Hic Sunt Leones” – this is how old maps used to mark the boundaries of known territory. An exhibition (and a book) that takes you on a journey to the gates of Switzerland.

La Vetrina ospita il progetto del fotografo ticinese Gabriele Spalluto, che ha viaggiato per un anno lungo i confini svizzeri. I posti di frontiera, con la loro architettura spesso sorprendente, sembrano scenografie teatrali prive di personaggi. «Hic Sunt Leones» – così le antiche carte geografiche indicavano i confini del territorio conosciuto. Una mostra (e un libro) per viaggiare alle porte della Svizzera.
